FAQs

Begin by measuring the bed of your truck with the tailgate closed. Our sizing guides will help you determine which tent is compatible with your truck. Our website also displays a sizing chart for your convenience.

No. Driving with the tent mounted to your vehicle may cause personal injury and/or damage to your tent and truck.

Yes. The tent will work with a sprayed, mat, or prefabricated liner.

Railings will work as long as they are less than 3” tall. Roll and sports bars must be removed.

No. Truck Tents will not work as long as the camper shell/cap is assembled. Napier SUV Tents are the best option as long as the height from the ground to the highest point of the cap window/door does not exceed 80”.

Yes. One person is able to set up a Napier Truck Tent, however we do recommend having assistance during the first set-up. The first set-up should take approximately 15 minutes and about 10 minutes each time thereafter. Each tent comes with set-up instructions and color-coded poles for easy assembly.

Yes. We recommend placing the tent over the toolbox to minimize the amount of water that could enter between the box and the tent. It is also recommended to cover the corners of the toolbox to protect the tent from ripping on sharp edges. Please note that you will lose the amount of space that the toolbox occupies.

Our truck tents will fit over Roll-Up tonneau covers if the rolled-up tonneau cover is less than 6” high.

As long as the back rack does not intrude onto the rails of the truck too far, it should not impact the functionality of the tent. Please email customerservice@napieroutdoors.com with a photo or the exact model of your back rack to determine if the rack is compatible.

Our tents already have a water-resistant coating on them. However, the coating may wear down over time and you may want to spray a water repellent coating onto the tent and rainfly after a few years of use. For additional protection and product maintenance, you may wish to use a seam sealant on your tent.

There is a one-year manufacturer defect warranty.  Please consult the Warranty section on the website.

Incompatible models include: Chevrolet Silverado EV, GMC Hummer EV, GMC Sierra EV, Rivian R1T, and the Tesla Cybertruck.

Excited!

Just used this for the first time for a one nighter in Muskoka Ontario.
Relatively easy setup for the first time, it'll get easier. But not sure how I'll get the rainfly on if I was by myself. The tent goes pretty high up when setup.

It did rain in the morning, the rain fly doesn't cover the door area at all and I had rain mist come through the fabric.

Otherwise I'm super excited to use this more this year. Fit my truck perfectly and very spacious.

Can withstand wind

I have literally never left a review but this tent was amazing. Went camping this weekend wind was absolutely insane I thought we were gonna blow away but the tent stood its ground like a mf. Also spatial and fairly simple to put up. However the pole for the entrance was pretty tricky. All in all tho worth the money.

Great Value and Easy Setup

Wow this is a great item. I set it up within a half hour of getting the package and except for putting the fly on the tent after it was up on the truck which I would not do the next time it went easily. I found the colour coded poles to be a bit confusing at first as they mean just the trim piece of each place you put the pole is the colour of the pole. I also managed to put the fly with the door side at the back by mistake but watching a video helped sort that out. It fit perfect and I got a great product quickly at a price we can brag about.

Awesome Tent

I’ve ran this tent for the last 2 years hitting almost 20 states with it! I’ve camped in Hurricanes, sand storms, snow storms and it’s been nothing but great to me! I even learned you can drive 40mph with it up and it still maintain its durability in the drive.

I gave a 5 star review because that’s as high as it will let me go! It’s easy to heat up in the winter, and easy to keep cool in the fall!

My one suggestion I’d love to see down the road is some type of cover flap going from the tent to the roof of the truck because I did have snow build up I kept having to remove between my truck glass and tent but it never did seap into my tent just kept me concerned!

All in all I’ll never use any tent other then Napier! This year I’ll be going to 6 states between September and December and staying the whole time in my mobile set up adventuring the beautiful public land!
