I sure did not expect to love this tent as much as I did after one use.My first set up out of the box was at the beach, at 4pm, during some ridiculously heavy sundowners. This thing was so easy to go up it’s almost like I was mocking the wind. I was inside and waiting for the wind phase to pass within minutes(20min max)That said, I would start with the car attachment first (secures the structure and everything else is easy). Also, the singly opens on multiple sides so, again attach the sides that says, vehicle first.Held up during the wind and I got and;ight drizzle my last morning - no leaks - no moisture inside. I waterproofed and seam sealed after I cleaned it out when I got home.I used sandbags inside the tent at the stake point and used buckets with sand bags for the canopy tie downs. Worked like a champ.I’ll still use my 10 man Coleman undone for the fancy “special guest” camping but this is my new solo mission, bonsai on the fly got a last minute cancellation weekend camping trip. It will live in my car.The solar lights were a harbor freight impulse buy. They were awesome, too

We used this tent for trip to Scottish highlands and it was great. It fits well for Tesla Y however we couldn’t open the boot fully but this was not a big deal. Tent is spacious and sturdy.

I took this tent on a road test out east in June. I just bought it a few weeks before my trip. It was very easy to set up and even easier to take down and pack away. I really loved the design, and it fit over my car perfectly. The down side is one pole splintered on my after only a few uses, then a second pole failed a few days latter. Fortunately duck take was able to hold it together for me. I just submitted a warranty clam and looks like I will have to pay around 20 bucks to get new poles shipped to me. based on my experience I wouldn't recommend this tent. Look for a similar design that is better quality.

Very easy to assemble, easy to repack (key), lots of height which is nice, and seems very durable. I'm really happy with this tent. Can't wait to christen it on a trip to the Yukon.

This is a well designed tent addition to our car camping. We sleep in the back of our car and it's great to be able to slide out in and out of the tent for changing, storing gear, and hanging out in bad weather. The tent is fairly easy to assemble; we learned that attaching it to the car first makes the process smoother and quicker. It now takes about 10 or 12 minutes. You have to be careful installing the poles through the sleeves at the top of the tent; we ripped one slightly by being too aggressive. We easily patched the rip and it doesn't affect the integrity of the tent overall.

Bought for a one person trip so did not go with the larger 10 x 10 size tent easy to put up although one of the tunnels for the supporting polls was slightly narrow, requiring a small amount of fiddling to get it to pass through. Would have preferred a little bit bigger diameter of the opening by about 6 inches as when you back into the opening, it’s very hard to tell. If you are a line properly on my second photo you could see that I actually had to back up a little too far to get it around the rear. Even so the tent poles held up wonderfully, and after attach was able to move forward a little to take the strain off the tent.Like many of these SUV tense you need something to hold down the tent in the valley of the curve of the body if your SUV is not relatively square I used magnets

This is a great tent and it has plenty of room, lots of screen mesh and seems to be very well made. The fabric, mesh and zippers are good quality and the poles seem sturdy. The walls can be screen or zip up the fabric panels for privacy or inclement weather. Plus complete coverage with the included rainfly which I did not put on. I assembled this tent on a sunny day with a slight breeze (windy would likely need 2 or more people) and it was not even up for 20 minutes so I can't comment on how it would do in rain. There are plenty of doors, even when attached to a vehicle. It's also nice that one can unzip the removable vehicle sleeve to convert the vehicle tent into a stand alone ground tent.It was a bit of a challenge to set it up by myself but I did get it up. Two people, I'm sure, no problem, but I usually camp alone with a big dog - no help from her. My plan was to use it with a small camper. It wasn't ideal for this because of the excess fabric where a rear SUV hatch would normally take up the extra fabric at the "vehicle sleeve" - this can bee seen in the attached photos. This would collect water if it rained and was generally a nuisance. The other issue was how to seal it underneath to keep bugs out. I wish it would have worked out better for me but there didn't seem to be an easy fix. On the whole, it was more of a pain than I hoped for, I sent it back. Not easy to repack for sure. I hope they provide a refund.

Very good product, easy set up, instructions are easy to follow. Bigger than I thought it would be. It rained lightly and had no issues with leaks. Unsure if it would hold up in a heavy storm but at that point I would not be camping.

Easy to assemble...with a friend because I’m 5’1”. It fits perfectly on my Subaru Forester-no gaps for mosquitoes to sneak through. Large windows with screen for good airflow. Lots of room for my large dog, my camping buddy and gear. Lots of nice touches like putting the instruction manual permanently attached to the carrying case so you won’t lose it.Only problem is a missing buckle on one corner of the rainfly which is necessary for securing it enough to keep the rain out. I contacted seller and am waiting for a reply if I don’t hear back by tomorrow I’ll get in touch with Napier for a replacement rainfly. That’s the reason for 4 stars instead of 5.

The tent is a perfect fit for our Subaru Baja and we love that it has two door choices to adapt to your camping spot. We can set-up or take-down the tent in about 10 -12 minutes, super easy. On our first trip out (mid-October), I was amazed that the tent moderated the temperature and blocked a chilly morning wind. It’s the perfect tent for us. By the 3rd time we put up the tent, three of the grommets at the base had fallen off (I have a grommet kit and installed new ones). Zippers seem, so far, to be of good quality.

The tent have very good design, I really like the idea of how this tent make your camping luxury, having an ac tent is lit!!!It took me 5 minutes to unbox the tent and 16min and 38second to set up the tent, not including the rain fly, the rain fly took me another 10 minutes, it will be quicker and easier if you could have a partner to set up the tent, since the tent is very tall, it took me a while to get the rain fly go over the top.The waterproof is my most concern, after hard decisions I decided to pick this tent, there are some reviews saying that the tent is completely not waterproof which make me worried, but I check on Napier website description, it says the tent have 2000pu, although the description on amazon is only 1200pu, and I test it right away when I set up the tent, the rainfly seems pretty waterproof, the inner tent also doesn’t have any water soak into the material and drip out very quickly. I would say this tent is good enough for a regular camping, it is higher than my expectation. But if you are some one who is going for an adventure camping, you might have to look for higher prices range to get the quality, this inner tent does do a great waterproof job, but when I packed I found the bottom corner does feel a little wet, a small rain definitely won’t impact anything, I would say with a heavy rain this tent might have some trouble with leaking.Since I’m having Tesla model y, the shape of the trunk is a little weird, the part that cover the trunk does have a little gap in between the tent and the car, I think you either just stay inside the tent with net windows open, or tap the cover to your car, anyway this is not a big problem for me, the little gap doesn’t effect the ac transit into the tent, keep at a good temperature with a very little leakage.The tent is pretty value for the money I spent, one thing that I really want them to improve is the zipper, it seems very bad quality and can be broke at any time, also it is hard to get around. One way to improve the waterproof level of the tent could also be upgrading the zipper to avoid more leaks possibility.Lastly the instructions on the bag is not too bad to follow, but you might still need sometime to set up the first time since it is a bit different than the regular tent itself. I fist get a little challenging packing it back into the bag, after I zip everything up into the bag I found out that this bag give a really kind design, the have more space if you open the zipper where you could be much easier while packing it up.

My wife and I and our 2 golden retrievers have used this set up in Virginia in the George Washington Nat Forest (west of the Blue Ridge MTNS) and in the Beartooth Mountains in Montana. The dogs sleep down on the tent side in their beds, and my wife and I sleep in the back of the truck and the tent sock comes underneath the tailgate, under the bumper and other the top so that we can open up the topper window, and we have it secured to the crossbars on the truck topper. No issues with rain getting in. We use the tent side to eat if we are getting bothered by the flies and mosquitos. 1 person can set this up in minutes. I did it in about 10min by myself, comes down and packs away in about the same time. We like to do disbursed camping, camp grounds (nice to support the national and state camp grounds), and camp grounds that rely on honesty with drop boxes for payments. This setup rocks.

Only made a trial run on driveway, can't wait to try it in the Wild.

This tent fits both my Jeep Liberty and my smaller Ford Escape. I haven't had to test it in the rain yet, but it seems like it's a pretty good around the hatchback. It is reasonably easy to setup even though I am fairly short.My only concern is durability. After only three trips, two grommets on the stake loops have fallen off (one came off the very first outing)and one of the tent poles has cracked.edit: I'm knocking off another star after contacting customer service. My feeling is that things shouldn't start breaking after the first use (grommets missing immediately, tent pole cracked after trip 3), and that most reputable companies would be happy to make it right.I want to be clear that I am talking about Napier -- the maker of the tent -- not necessarily the seller here on Amazon.
