Tente pratique mais difficile à monter pour une personne seule… prévoir un escabeau pour faciliter la tâche. Je trouves qu’il n’y a pas beaucoup d’air qui entre par temps très chaud. On peut toujours lever le toit pour avoir de l’air mais pas pratique s’il pleutTente assez spacieuse et j’aime coucher dans mon auto. On peut la détacher facilement de la voiture pour aller se promener. Prévoir des repères au sol pour faciliter le raccord au retour

The product is very easy to use and install. My husband and I, both beginners, installed it in 20 minutes.

It looks like this tent was previously used. It smells like smoke, and one of the poles is damaged—it has a large crack and has been taped by someone. None of this was mentioned in the listing. The product was advertised as being like new, with only the box possibly damaged or replaced, so this was unexpected…Other than that, it is the correct tent model and all the parts appear to be included. I purchased it at a great price and would prefer to keep it rather than return it. However, I would really appreciate a replacement pole so the tent is in proper working condition.

I used this tent only once, and it didn't even last a single night. The cross poles started cracking from just a small gust of wind, and the whole thing became completely useless. We ended up having to sleep in my SUV.On the plus side, the tent is quite spacious, and the trunk connection is a really cool and convenient idea. It's clear that a lot of thought went into the design.However, the build quality doesn't match the concept. The poles feel flimsy and aren't sturdy enough to handle even light wind conditions. Given the height of the tent, the developers really need to prioritize stability and use stronger materials.I hope the manufacturer takes this feedback seriously and improves the structural integrity. Until then, this product is notrecommended, especially for outdoor use where weather conditions are unpredictable.

It’s an okay car tent. Spacious. Held up to a good dump of rain and some strong wind gusts.We had problems with our lift/hatch back rubbing on the tent as the lift open and closed. Thought it was going to tear. Alsothe rain fly didn’t fit the tent very well and the awning over the entrance would not work as advertised. I had to use rope to stretch it out as the poles that were provided would not stay in place. I also had to use additional rope to secure the rainfly.

It worked really well, except for one thing.Where the tent attaches to the trunk door, at the top there’s a gap, the material there is not long enough to seal it to roof.Scenario. Set up at campground in PEI just before rain. It was windy, but I brought extra tent grab points to make sure it was secured to the ground (with a tarp underneath).With the rain, and the fact that vehicle slope to the back, the rain made it past the opening at the top. The material “dam” isn’t substantial enough to weigh it down here to prevent water leakage. Ended up using two towels to shore up the opening.It rained for 4 hours, and we had a bit of a puddle. Now this can be fixed. Napier should add extra material as a buffer/dam that would allow a person to pin it down. This would stop the water flow.I’m going to build like a long sponge/sandbag idea weight. Just need to dam this area.Other ideas for Napier.1. Add magnet pouches around the car door opening. I had used magnets in little plastic containers (to prevent scratches). It worked until the wind picked up.2. Tent pegs need to be hooked at the end instead of looking like a 7. The tent grommet holes tend to wiggle out of the 7. I had a few 9 type hooks that worked much better.3. Change the door zipper flap to only on one side. It flips halfway through and cause zipper snags.I’m glad I bought it. Made camping in the Tesla Y a pleasure.

Love this - i attached to a 3/4 ton chev suburban and JUST fits. I like that i can walk around in it and add a chair and table plus a sleeping cot and that i can unhook from it and leave. I did not have high expectations when i bought it but it exceeded them! I thought the price was reasonable. I could close the screens covers and add a heater (careful to make sure there was good ventilation) and get it warm enough in lowish temps. It’s fairly quick to put up and i had no issues putting it up on my own. First time took a bit more time but after that it was very quick. I used the little foamy bits that came with the poles to protect the tent from the corners of the hatchback of the truck - but like i said i was on the max for fitting the open doors of the truck into this tent.

Used it last week and couldn’t be happier with the decision. Excellent product! Hope it last

I had purchased this tent to connect to my Jeep, but we went so far off-grid camping that even my Jeep couldn't make it there. The great thing about this tent is that you can use it with or without connecting it to an SUV. It's very large and roomy and tall. You can stand up straight inside. No more crawling in and out of a tent for me. When we got to the site after hauling everything there it was so dark out and the mosquitos were swarming bad. I was still able to put the tent up mostly by myself. I had some help with pulling the rainfly over the tent. We didn't have the rainfly facing the right direction, but I fixed that in the morning during the daylight. After getting it set up, I tossed all my stuff inside to get away from the mosquitos and then hooked up my portable mosquito lantern to the hook at the top and set about setting up my mattress before enjoying some campfire time. It did rain that weekend, and a little water seeped in from the bottom just at the edges of the tent so I'll be sure to use a sealant on the seems before my next camping trip. Hopefully I'll be able to connect it to the Jeep next time, but if not, it's still a great tent.

This wasn't the SUV tent I was originally looking for, but it was hard to pass up at the price. It is less expensive and roomier than most competitors.One thing I liked about it is that it fits width wise between the roof rack rails on my SUV so I was able to store and transport the tent in my cargo box. Very convenient.Set up is pretty standard for anyone who has previously put up a dome tent, and ideally takes 2 people but could be done with 1 in a pinch.With the exception of the sleeve that attaches to the hatch of your SUV the design of thus tent is pretty typical of most dome tents as well. It has great height, nice bug windows that also have Mosquito netting, and a floor. It also has a convenient strap dangling from the ceiling to hold a candle lantern or light which was very convenient. The access door is quite large, you can get coolers and tables in and out no problem but you do have to crouch a bit to get in each time.The sleeve worked great! My SUV attached easily and gave me a whole other room (see photo). I was happy with the seal of the sleeve to the SUV but if you are worried about it, three bungee cords looped around the outside of your car really helps to keep the sleeve pressed up tight against the body of the car. At the connwxtion between the sleeve and tent is a Mosquito screen to keep any bugs out of the tent.The sleeve was important to me as this was the reason I bought this tent. The sleeve is also easily detached from your SUV so that you can drive away if you need to, while leaving the tent sealed and standing. Very convenient.The construction material on the tent is pretty standard. I had no problems with ripping or tearing but the tent is definitely not heavy duty. I seem to recall that it is only 800 denier. This is my biggest area of concern on terms of longevity and waterproofness.I have seen other reviews where people complained about the quality of the tent pegs. I have no such complaint. They are actually sturdier than many other recreational tent pegs and I was literally able to hammer them into dirt without deformation.Overall I am very happy with this purchase, it was affordable, easy to set up, and worked well. Just don't know about long term waterproofness or wearability.

I bought this car tent to go car camping with my 2019 Tesla Model X. I didn't see any reviews of this tent used with the MX, so I thought I'd share that it fits this car and here are some some photos. If it's good with the X, it should work well with all the S3XY models too.The tent comes with extra long straps to tie down the top part of the sleeve to the hinges of the hood, if you don't have a roof rack like the MX (see photos). I am able to open and close the frunk with the tent attached with no problem.The tent works with either the rear hatch open or closed, so you could use the tent just as a "vestibule" and close the hatch when you sleep at night and enjoy the Tesla Camp Mode.One inconvenience with the MX is that you have to unclip to long sleeve strap to open the falcon door. Not a biggie, just need to remember to do so.It took me by myself about 20-25 minutes the first time I set up the tent in between reading instructions. I expect it should take about 15 minutes once I've done it a few times.There are some small gaps between the tent sleeve and the side of the car around the rear end of the windows. I will probably get some magnets to seal the material better if bugs are a concern.Based on other reviews, I went ahead and bought seam sealant (I got Gear Aid), and applied it to the bottom seam between the tent sides and the ground sheet.Hope this review helps someone who's been thinking of having more fun with Camp Mode - happy car camping!

I recommend purchase of this Tent. It is spacious and well made with lots of available adjustments once the Tent is erected. That said there are some things a buyer should be aware of that are not addressed in Napier's advertising or product instructions. The instructions included with the tent are vague and inadequate, comprised mostly of safety warnings. Napier warns against running the SUV engine while the tent is connected. This renders the SUV useless for it's climate control or electrical power to devices, unless the owner takes on some engineering and the corresponding risk to construct a work around. The upper attachments for the vehicle luggage rack work well, but the lower attachments do not attach to a 4 Runner's wheel well because the Tent's clips are too narrow to fit over the wheel well edge. The Tent comes in a simple carrying bag in which it was loaded by machine with maximum compression. Once the tent is removed from the included carrying bag, it cannot be compressed sufficiently for it to fit back in. I purchased a larger carrying bag which works well. Nonetheless, I am generally glad to have this Tent to use with my 4 Runner. As I continue to tackle the learning curve for it's use and to construct home-made adaptations to address little design flaws, I anticipate becoming more satisfied with this Tent than I am right now.

Bad things first. The tent is excruciatingly slow to put together compared to many of the instant popup tents out now. I feel like they should make an SUV version of the pupup tent and Id buy that in a heartbeat. In the mountains with no wind me and the wife put it together in 12 minutes and that was really pushing it. We recently went to the beach with some pretty intense winds and it litterally took over an hour because the wind just kept hammering it down and dislocating the joints. We had to set it up beside the vehicle to block the wind otherwise the tent would collapse.Positives next. This is just an amazing idea and its sad there arent more around like this. We sleep in the hatch of the Subaru and use the tent for our base and this tent works perfect. Unfortnately we only got to use it as intended once because many campsites dont allow you to drive up to the pad or allow you to park on the grass so we had to work with what we had. It is huge at 10x10 and quite tall at 7'. Very good with rain. Even with the hatch open we didnt get rain in.Overall if I had to start from scratch Id buy the tent again for what we do HOWEVER I really wish theyd release a V2 with a popup quick assembly ability. Would be so nice.

First off, the concept of this tent is amazing for a solo traveller such as myself. I love that I can access things from my CR-V without going back and forth. To set up my cot and sleeping bag and other amenities, and then pack up, without leaving the tent is incredible for a camper of 42 years! I swear I sleep better knowing that, in case of an emergency, I can jump into my vehicle. The large windows are great and the height is fantastic. I tend to call it my "condo" because it is so roomy and relaxed. It also seems to hold in heat better than my last tent.As other reviews have stated, there are some pitfalls to this tent. One, it does take more time to set up than I would like. I'd say it takes me about 20 minutes on my own. Thankfully, I am tall so when a pole gets hung up on the top (happens frequently) I can reach it to unsnag it. Second, the poles. I don't know if it is due to the length of them but they separate often. Twice the separation has been inside the top cross section and that material is so thin that when I tried to untangle the pole, it ripped the fabric. I am not sure why it is such thin material because the rest of the tent seems quite durable. Thirdly, as mentioned in other reviews, the rain will seep in at the floor seams. I just had this happen for the first time last weekend. I used the attached bungees on the rainfly to extend the fly away from my tent at more of an angle and that completely took care of the issue. Lastly, you are at the mercy of the door with how you park. In some developed campgrounds you can only back in one-way which means your tent door can only be one-way. However, you can detach the tent from your car and have it be stand alone if that gives you trouble.Even with the negative aspects, I love this tent!
