5 Easy Ways to Make Iced Tea While Camping

Creating your custom iced tea is so simple! All you need to do is add a little of this or a splash of that and you have a whole new spin on a summertime favorite – perfect for a backyard bbq or an afternoon at camp.

 

Base Recipe For Iced Tea

Ingredients:

  • 8 cups of water
  • 6 tea bags (black or green tea)
  • 1/3 cup sugar, honey or sweetener  (optional & adjust to taste) 

Instructions:

  • In a large saucepan, bring the water to a boil.
  • Once boiling, remove from heat and add the tea bags. Allow the tea to steep for 5-10 minutes, depending on your preferred strength.
  • If using sugar, dissolve it into the hot tea mixture while stirring.
  • Remove the tea bags and let the tea cool.
  • Pour the tea into a pitcher and refrigerate for at least 1 hour before serving. If making at camp, or somewhere where a refrigerator is not available, allow to cool for several hours before serving. Serve over ice.
