Our SUV Tents are designed with a universal vehicle sleeve to accommodate all CUV’s, SUV’s, and minivans for a custom fit.

The universal vehicle sleeve has an elastic band at the end creating a custom fit to your vehicle. The adjustable wheel well and trunk straps ensure a snug fit to your vehicle and the fabric flaps on the inside of the sleeve help seal any minor gaps caused by a curvy vehicle.

Yes. For the initial set-up however, we do recommend having assistance.

Yes. To ensure the best fit possible, we recommend our larger SUV Tents (82000, 84000, 13100, and 19100).

Yes. As long as the height from the ground to the highest point of the cap window/door does not exceed 80”, SUV Tents are compatible.

Please refer to the Warranty section on the website.

Yes, as long as the circumference of the trailer opening does not exceed 210”.

Angle one of the awning poles so that the water will run off and not pool. Angle the bottom of the pole one way and peg out the other way. If you are leaving the campsite, it’s best to set-up camp for rain, just in case. Put away equipment, zip up all tent windows and doors, use the rainfly. Zip or roll up the awning. If it’s raining a lot, we would suggest not to use the canopy.

Our tents already have a water-resistant coating on them. However, the coating may wear down over time and you may want to spray a water repellent coating onto the tent and rainfly after a few years of use.

A seam sealer is not necessary. Our rainflies and truck tent floors have taped seams to guard against water entry. For additional protection and product maintenance, you may wish to use a seam sealant on your tent. Please note that water drops through the needle holes along the seams is common with all tents and is not a manufacturer’s defect.

There is a one-year manufacturer defect warranty.  Please consult the Warranty section on the website.

Just took the tent out of the bag to practice setting it up and one of the poles snapped in half. Returning immediately. Would like to try another model but now plans and reservations need to be cancelled.

Turn your suv into an rv very easily. Although it is a voluminous and relatively heavy bag, it is very easy to assemble and the materials from which it is made are of very good quality. I used it now for the first time on a trip to Virginia and it successfully withstood several torrential rains and even a storm. Not a drop of water got inside and it is easy to connect and disconnect the car from the tent (I did it almost daily). I slept in the car and entered and exited through the back directly into the tent. Brilliant concept.

I always find the directions on tents to be not very user friendly but overall the tent wasn’t hard to put up for the two of us.
Used on our camping minivan. It held everything we needed it for.
We took the tarp off during the day to use it as a screen room.

Amazing tent! Very versatile and fits my 4runner perfectly. Love the feature of either using it attached to your vehicle or as a stand-alone tent when you need to leave camp for supplies. I use the tent as an annex/storage area and sleep in the back of the 4runner. Setup is a breeze and love the idea of having a living room, storage, and changing area.
Make sure you seal the seams and properly stake the tent if you’re expecting torrential weather. One reviewer mentioned this tent is unstable in the wind. In my experience this tent was built to withstand the wind! The steel poles allowed the tent to remain stable and stood strong against high gusts.
The inside contains 2 storage pockets, a gear net, and hook loop to hang a lantern.
    Highly recommended!

I have crossed this country for over thirty years living in the back of various Toyota pickup trucks. When I saw this tent on line I thought it was the answer to my dreams of being able to get dressed standing up! In the summer of 2021, on our first trip west with this tent, we planned to spend a week visiting friends on a ranch at 7,000 feet in Wyoming. For the duration of that stay we hardly ever saw the sun. Wind whipped rains lashed day and night against the high profile tent. During the worst of it we had to brace our backs against the windward wall but, to give credit where credit is due, not a seam ripped nor pole bent. On the other hand, the inside of the tent was a disaster. As others have reported there are two panels on the tailgate wall of the tent that are not waterproof and are not covered by the fly. These are major expanses of fabric that the heavy rains ran right through. The hood that extends from the tent to the vehicle is unsupported and bellies down quickly with water. Frequent prodding with a pole helped to keep that clear. Lastly the floor seams leaked everywhere, particularly those corners by the back of the truck. We had to use our host’s towels and rags to mop up the leaks. Lucky for us our host also had a can of tent seal. Once conditions let up enough we hosed all the offending areas down with this spray sealant which curbed the flow significantly.

On a subsequent trip the tent was used as a stand alone tent, unattached to the truck. With the shroud that connects the tent to the vehicle hanging down loosely over the back wall there was none of the leakage problem we had experienced on the previous trip. It was like having a cabin to return to at the end of a day of climbing. And when it did rain – and it did – we had the tent awnings pulled out to relax under. Sweet bliss. I had ordered an extra pair of poles for the second awning. One minor problem, however. The bungee cord inside one pole has lost its elasticity already.

Napier: You have got to redesign that fly to cover ALL of the tent and replace those uncoated tent panels with coated fabric.

Obviously, as with any new product, there is a learning curve. Once your tent and you have come to terms and learn each other’s strengths and weaknesses the relationship will become a rosy one. I love this tent.

Can you zip up two or even three of these tents together to make a very large tent, or are you forced to use only one tent?

SUV Tent Failure. We bought one from govx.com. it rained for about 2 hours. The seams that are to the left and right of the hatch leaked and ever seam in the bottom corners leaked. My air matress and about 500 dollars worth of belongings were ruined. We got back to the tent and literally had about 3/4 an inch of water in side. We bouth this product based on reviews. Now we are out a ton of extra money due to this.

Trial by fire with winds and rains

If you are in the market for an AMAZING tent for your Jeep Wrangler, look no further. This tent was put to the test on its initial voyage. And what a voyage it was.

Purchased the #NapierSportzSUVTent for a trip to Daytona Bike Week 2022, camping in the Daytona Speedway infield. Arrived under dark skies and was able to assemble the tent easily for a female solo traveler, with no issues. Although, it seems to be made for hard top vehicles, it fit my soft top easily and I was able to adjust the tie-down straps in alternate locations.

Keep in mind, the rainfly only covers the tent itself and does NOT cover the part that attaches to the vehicle. I made sure to tie a tarp from the Jeep to the tent rainfly “just in case.” It wasn’t just the sounds of loud thunder coming from the motorcycles that roared into town. The storms rolled in with a fury. 20—30 mph winds and torrential downpour. When things cleared up, the Napier tent was one of the last tents standing proudly. Many of the other campers scurried away with what little remained of their tents. Most of the tents ended up in the trash.

Buy the Napier Sportz SV Tent 82000! It doesn’t disappoint and worth the investment.

This tent does it all. We love it. First time we set it up took 15 minutes. The second time we set it up took 10. Made very well. We have a Cadillac SRX and it perfect. Great product. Be carful I did not realize it came with and without a screen section and when mine came it was the one without. Want the one with. By the time I realized it was not right one it was to late to exchange. The 82000 is without and 84000 is with. LOVE THIS PRODUCT!!
