Our SUV Tents are designed with a universal vehicle sleeve to accommodate all CUV’s, SUV’s, and minivans for a custom fit.

The universal vehicle sleeve has an elastic band at the end creating a custom fit to your vehicle. The adjustable wheel well and trunk straps ensure a snug fit to your vehicle and the fabric flaps on the inside of the sleeve help seal any minor gaps caused by a curvy vehicle.

Yes. For the initial set-up however, we do recommend having assistance.

Yes. To ensure the best fit possible, we recommend our larger SUV Tents (82000, 84000, 13100, and 19100).

Yes. As long as the height from the ground to the highest point of the cap window/door does not exceed 80”, SUV Tents are compatible.

Please refer to the Warranty or Replacement Parts Section of the website.

Yes, as long as the circumference of the trailer opening does not exceed 210”.

Angle one of the awning poles so that the water will run off and not pool. Angle the bottom of the pole one way and peg out the other way. If you are leaving the campsite, it’s best to set-up camp for rain, just in case. Put away equipment, zip up all tent windows and doors, use the rainfly. Zip or roll up the awning. If it’s raining a lot, we would suggest not to use the canopy.

Our tents already have a water-resistant coating on them. However, the coating may wear down over time and you may want to spray a water repellent coating onto the tent and rainfly after a few years of use.

A seam sealer is not necessary. Our rainflies and truck tent floors have taped seams to guard against water entry. For additional protection and product maintenance, you may wish to use a seam sealant on your tent. Please note that water drops through the needle holes along the seams is common with all tents and is not a manufacturer’s defect.

There is a one-year manufacturer defect warranty.  Please consult the Warranty section on the website.

Bought this product as new old stock off Facebook market Place. Sealed in the original boxes and bag, with the bag zippers still zip tied together.
It took me ( one person) an hour to unpackaged and set up fully ( all guy lines and stakes) the first time. I think it would take 40 minutes alone and 20 to 30 minutes with 2 people.
This is an incredibly spacious tent! The screen room adds another area for cooking and hanging out bug free. The tent seemed to be made well . Napier says the seams are taped, though I didn’t notice this. The boot is large and could fit a large SUV. The rain fly defeats the screened in sky lights of the tent. It also completely covered the only window. It does not cover the boot to the vehicle.
The girlfriend and I used it, in our yard, attached to our 2015 Kia Sorento the first night. It worked very well for us and our two dogs. However, with rain in the forecast for the next day, I left it set up.
Disaster. A wind gust broke the roof pole for the screen room. The whole tent collapsed. I had to disassemble it in the poring rain to avoid further damage to the tent or the car.
The replacement pole cost 10. But Napier wants 20 to ship it from Ontario to Ontario…( St. Catherine’s to Kingston)? This IS NOT good customer service. The pole should not have broken after 1 day.
I was looking forward to using this for our 2 week trip to Newfoundland. Now I’m left wondering if it’s up to the task, with a company that does not really stand behind their product.
Realistically this may be too large to be effective in our conditions.

Although it is a voluminous and relatively heavy bag, it is very easy to assemble and the materials from which it is made are of very good quality. I used it now for the first time on a trip to Virginia and it successfully withstood several torrential rains and even a storm. Not a drop of water got inside and it is easy to connect and disconnect the car from the tent (I did it almost daily). I slept in the car and entered and exited through the back directly into the tent. Brilliant concept.

Tent concept is great, very spacious and comfortable. Unfortunately the tent is virtually useless in any amount of wind due to it’s extremely high profile. Even small gusts cause it to collapse. The poles keep rotating in the Velcro that holds them to the tent. I NEVER had this issue with my old tent… Which i had for 20 years. Also my front door zipper stitching split on the first day i had it up. I’m om a 3 week camping trip. And now basically have nowhere to store my gear during any weather conditions that are not still Air. Luckily i am sleeping in the back of my SUV. Would return, but i bought it a few months ago for this trip. Will be going back to my old dome tent and hoarding this beast in my garage.

I love this attachment tent. It is easy to put up and take down. Gave us so much comfort while camping out of the back of our Saburban. I do wish you made the side opening with screened in room , on the other side of the the tent. Most places we go have the fire pit and table on the passenger side after we back in and set up.

So far we’ve used the tent for approximately 20 days over 5 trips in temperatures from 30 to 90. We attach the tent to a small camp trailer with small propane heater and A/C. The tent has held up well so far and we’ve never had any leaks even during thunderstorms (remember to seal your seams). It’s really easy to put up and take down. It fits three cots for the kids and there’s still room inside to play cards. It always packs away easy thanks to the expandable storage bag.

Amazing tent, so easy to put up and take down again, really roomy and makes camping comfortable being able to sleep in our vehicle (a Ford Escape) and use the tent for everything else. Absolutely love it, recommend this to anyone thinking of buying one. Hope that you can get a distributor in NZ.

Jay Crawford, Cheap is the New Classy

What we wanted was a tent that we could use during the day but then sleep in our car at night. That’s when we found Napier and their line of vehicle tents. These are tents that actually attach to your truck and SUV allowing you to sleep in your vehicle instead of the ground. What?!
